Critical aspects

There are several critical aspects for choosing the right HVAC solution in new build hospitals. The first consideration is for the safety of patients and the public (in accordance with NHS Estates Guidance Notes) whereby radiators and associated pipework should be designed or covered so that the maximum accessible surface temperature does not exceed 43°C. In addition, the emitters need to be able to react fast to changing demands, good ventilation is crucial to maintain the indoor air quality, and the emitters must be easy to clean.

Safe & Hygienic heating options

In our range we offer proven radiator solutions for hospital heating. LST radiators, or low surface temperature radiators, are designed to comply with NHS Estates Health Guidance Notes. In addition, they have antimicrobial paint which helps to reduce the build up of bacteria and prevent the transmission of disease. Alternatively, we offer column radiators which have fast reaction times and are easy to keep clean. iVector S2 fan convectors provide another option, as they can be installed on (or within) the ceiling.I

The right solution for each hospital room

Flexible range

Our LST, or low surface temperature, radiators are the most obvious choice for hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare facilities, as they comply with NHS Estates Health Guidance Notes. But we also offer other interesting alternatives, like radiant underfloor heating and fully recessed fan convectors, which means they don’t gather any dust, germs or other particles. Both fan convectors and underfloor heating can be combined with an energy efficient heat source such as a heat pump to create a low temperature system that reduces operating costs.
